Each Discovery Flight begins with a pre-flight briefing that covers flight fundaments, including helicopter controls and flight characteristics, pre-flight inspections and helicopter components. Then experience being a pilot firsthand as our instructors guide you through engine start-up and rotor engagement, radio communications, airport operations, flight maneuvers (including take-offs, landings, hovering  and level flight) and shutdown procedures.  A post-flight briefing gives you a chance to ask your instructor any questions you may have about the flight.
